Global Overseas Travel +60 Million; Overseas Travel to the United States: Up only 1%

Since 2000, long-haul arrivals to the U.S. have increased by less than 2%, from nearly 26 million to 26.4 million in 2010, despite a worldwide increase of 60 million long-haul travelers over the same decade. (In 2000, 151.7 million people traveled long-haul, including the 26 million who came to the U.S. In 2010, 213.1 million people traveled long-haul, 26.4 million of whom came to the United States.)

Global overseas travel grew 40% between 2000 and 2010, while overseas travel to the U.S. increased by only 1%.
